Villa S. Giulio is a charming and excellently restored villa which
boasts of a private landing dock, manicured lawns and a view that one
can usually only find in the movies. The verdant lawn stretches
down from the villa to Lake Orta, where rests a stunning backdrop of
snow-capped mountains, the blue lake with sailing boats, and the island
of S. Giulio. The adorable town of Orta S.Giulio is located
nearby at 1.5 km where you will find a wide range of shops and
delicious
restaurants. The lively lake road around Lake Orta is located behind
the house.
The property is of high quality with nicely furnished rooms and every
comfort.
Villa S. Giulio comfortably sleeps four people and spans two floors. Because the house is built along a slope, the
entrance is on the mezzanine floor with the lower level connected by
outside steps (no interior staircase) on the garden side of the house.
Mezzanine level: An entrance hall, accessible from the rear
garden, leads into a bright living room with a large fireplace
(decorative only). The
dining area includes a table that seats 8. This room offers
wonderful views of the lake and provides access to the stairs, which
lead to the garden. Behind the dining room there is the small,
fully equipped kitchen. This floor also consists of both a double
bedroom and a twin bedroom with lake view (beds cannot be
joined). There is one bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and
handheld
shower attachment.
Lower level: Additional large living room with direct access to the
garden and a bathroom with shower. Outside there is a delightful
garden and a patio with comfortable patio furniture.
The boat club is very close to Villa S. Giulio. Here you can rent a
boat or have your own boat brought into the water and anchored.
There is one car parking space available at the house for guests of the
villa.
In addition, the owner has purchased a garage in Orta S.
Guilio where guests may park while visiting the town.
Thanks to the quiet beauty of the landscape, its fascinating history
and its wealth of artistic treasures - principally Romanesque and
Baroque architecture, Lake Orta has long been the destination of poets,
artists and writers.
There are many possibilities to follow footpaths that lead from the
towns and villages through the forests up the hills and mountains.
The Mottarone (height 1385 m.) which divides Lake Maggiore from Lake
Orta is equipped with lifts for winter sports. On clear days it offers
a charming view of seven lakes, Monte Rosa, and the chain of the Alps.
Lovers of water sports will find places to swim in Lake Orta as well as
scuba diving, kayaking, sailing and water skiing. The area also
offers opportunities for horseback riding, bicycling, golf and
sightseeing tours.Distances:
