An ancient medieval castle built in the 11th century by Frederick II of Swabia. The perfectly preserved octagonal tower is evidence of the building’s origins.
The villa has been flagged as one of the 10 most beautiful residences in Umbria by Architectural Digest magazine, published by Condé Nast. It is surrounded by a large 600-hectare agriculture and livestock farm.
The complex consists of a residential area which is beautifully furnished with original period pieces, a tower and small consecrated church. The 5000 sq. meter garden, designed by the famous landscape architect Alberto Margheriti, contains many varieties of flowers which are in bloom all year round, oak, olive and cherry trees, pomegranate bushes, lavender and rosemary, and a botanical herb garden. Right in the middle of this garden is a large fan-shaped swimming pool which is shared with guests staying in the Tower. The whole Tiber Valley can be viewed from the swimming pool and there is also a large wooden gazebo. The garden also features: table tennis equipment, a children`s playground, WIFI, stone barbecue, large outdoor dining table and beautiful nighttime lighting.
Inside, the villa has all mod cons: air conditioning (in the bedrooms only), heating (each room has its own thermostat), computer, printer, scanner, fax, telephone in every room, indoor and outdoor wireless internet broadband connection, hairdryer - safe - mini fridge in all bedrooms, satellite TV, DVD and CD players.
THE TOWER
This will be available from June 2023. During this period, it can only be proposed in addition to the Castle for a total of 30 beds.
The “Tower” is an excellent example of an Historic Medieval Residence (XI century). It is situated on the top of the hill, 100 meters from the Castle.
Furnished with antique pieces it has all mod cons: access to high speed WIFI Internet all over the house and in the garden, multiroom stereo sound system, safe, mini fridges in all the bedrooms, autonomous heating and air conditioning.
Outside the Tower has a spacious panoramic terrace with lounge furniture and a 3000 sq. meter terraced garden with roses, fig trees, olive trees, an ancient laurel hedge, a children’s playground and a fully equipped barbecue area.
Two charging stations for electrical vehicles (7.4 kW each) will be installed in the Tower and Castle car parks.
