This apartment lies right in the centre of Amalfi, and due to its position you can immerse yourself in the life of the town in all its aspects. Amalfi is full of history, art and long-standing traditions and living in the old town centre is completely different from a short visit as a passing tourist. The history of the town and its most interesting aspects, the most attractive corners can only be experienced by living in the heart of the old town, fulls of alleyways and little piazzas with bars where you can sit outside, along with the pubs and a variety of restaurants each of which with its own particular specialities. Often these aspects pass you by on a quick visit whereas they are worth experiencing together with the natives of the town. Il Capitello lies in a central position and yet it lies in a small, tranquil side street, with convenient access, and has been recently renovated and furnished with taste, reflecting the typical style of Amalfi. Vietri ceramics, antique columns from the XIIIth century, yet with all modern conveniences such as air-conditioning, washing-machine, and a courtyard furnished for dining outside. The beach is just 800 metres away, and is just a comfortable walk away, passing through the centre of the town. A car is not essential here as the town is well-served by public transport.
