The villa stands in one of the most panoramic areas of Sorrento high above Marina Grande, the old harbour which still has the typical old fisherman`s houses and is the most typical and interesting place in the town. In the evening its many restaurants come to life with the echoes of famous Neapolitan songs of the past. You can reach the centre of town on foot as it`s only 400 metres away. The access road is narrow and is not suitable for large cars, so only small cars can park in front of the villa, however you can find public parking only 350 metres away. The house is surrounded by a large garden (1,000 sq.m.) with terraces on several levels. It has paved areas furnished with tables, barbecue and a wood-burning oven, from where you can enjoy the marvellous panorama of the Gulf of Naples. Il Gioiello is furnished with very comfortable antique pieces and is equipped with a dishwasher, washing-machine, stereo with CD-player, and telephone. You can swim in the sea at Marina Grande, which can be reached by public transportation or by taking the car to Marina di Puolo (about 2.5 kms). The centre of Sorrento is very lively and offers shopping and very good quality restaurants and bars. Positano is 16 kms away, Amalfi and Pompei 30 kms, Naples 50 kms.
Accommodation (250 sq meters):
The second and third levels are available, excluding the ground floor.
Paid on site in cash: Obligatory cleaning during the week: 3 hours a day, 5 days per week for a total of 220 Euros per week. Obligatory cleaning during the week (except for the kitchen). For a late check in on arrival day (from 20:00 pm. onward) and for arrivals that do not happen on Saturday there will be an extra cost of € 50,00 to be paid directly to the key-holder. For departures before 07:00 am in the morning there will be an extra cost of € 50.00 to be paid directly to the keyholder.
Firewood for the fireplaces: Euro 30 per 100 Kilogram.
In the event that the whole villa is rented for 14+1 people, the cost of the compulsory cleaning service will be
€ 300, even if it is occupied fora less number of people
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
