Podere Tullio stands in a delightful valley close to Vicchio del Mugello, which is 4 kms away, and where you will find shops of all kinds. The original structure goes back to 1266, and the building has recently been renovated and transformed into an elegant country residence divided into 4 apartments. The original farmhouse was very probably the house in which the great painter Giotto was born. The outside areas are very pleasant and well cared-for, and there you will find very nice 5x12m swimming-pool and a large panoramic terrace. All of the apartments have private, furnished outside areas and satellite TV. There is a laundry room with a shared washing-machine. On the estate, which is partly cultivated with vineyards, they produce an excellent wine. On request a cot is available. Borgo San Lorenzo is 8 kms away, and Florence is 35 kms and easily reached by car in about 30 minutes and also by train. The lake at Bilancino is about 15 kms away, where you can go sport fishing and practise various types of sailing. Mugello enjoys culinary traditions of a very high standard, offering simple tastes tied to the use of the so-called `ingredients of the poor`, which are the most genuine ones - such as olive-oil, bread, locally bred meat, game, and fresh vegetables grown locally. The apartments Cimabue and Giotto can be joined together.
