San Vito Lo Capo is the best place for people who like spending entire days on the beach, who appreciate nature and good, clean fun. It`s a small town and a wonderful place to live, with its little white houses and its roads dotted with multicoloured hibiscus flowers. The sea is at the centre of everything here, and before you see the town your eye is attracted by the flashes of light playing on the water above the white sand, a long strip of fine sand winding along for about 900 metres lapped by a crystal-clear sea. Villa del Firriato lies on high ground about 4 kms from the town, on the Gulf of Firriato, along the road leading to the Zingaro nature reserve, and is surrounded by a mediterranean garden with a spectacular view of the sea and of Tonnara. It has recently been elegantly renovated respecting local traditions, and has been furnished with quality furniture and equipped with air-conditioning in the bedrooms, satellite-TV and Sky decoder. At San Vito during the summer months there are many exhibitions and festivals, and one of the most famous is the international culinary and wine festival called the `couscousfest`, which celebrates the cous-cous, a typical local dish. Castellammare del Golfo is about 12 kms away, Trapani 50, Palermo 110. Throughout the area there are many excellent restaurants offering local cuisine.
