Il Romito is situated in one of the most attractive districts of the Sienese Chianti Classico area, just 15 km from Siena and 11 km from Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is reached from the little village of Pianella, following a picturesque country road that unwinds between vineyards and olive groves, and it commands a magnificent view over the beautiful surrounding countryside. Il Romito is a typical farmhouse, entirely renovated and fully equipped with satellite TV, stereo with CD player, dishwasher, washing machine, central heating, barbecue and microwave oven. Entering from a typical stone loggia, the interior extends over two floors furnished with impeccable taste using antique and traditional Tuscan pieces. In the garden guests have at their exclusive disposal a fine swimming pool and a fully-furnished outdoor area. All essential services can be found in the nearby village of Pianella (4 km), while close by guests can find excellent restaurants offering Tuscan cuisine and numerous vineyards where they can taste and purchase the famous Chianti wines. The stretch of road between Gaiole in Chianti and Siena (25 km away), which also passes through Pianella, is particularly attractive, dotted with intriguing castles that can be visited and little hamlets that have remained unchanged down the centuries.
