The town was the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, and it is possible to visit the historic medieval hamlet and a very nice museum dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci's works and inventions. The house is very spacious, comfortable, and offers a large outdoor space (2400 m2 of gardens and 6600 m2 of parkland) with gazebo, pool and lawns. The villa has recently been renovated with care to keep the original architectural characteristics, such as wall frescoes, unaltered. The property owner lives in an attached house with its own independent access, and does not use the pool or outdoor areas used by guests.
Access to the property is via about 500 metres of unpaved road in good condition, suitable for all vehicles.
