Umbria is filled with surprises: gentle, dreamy landscapes, wonderful naturalistic views concealing one of Italy’s richest woodland heritages, the vestiges of an ancient past, Etruscan and Roman remains, medieval and Renaissance style buildings and churches, all harmoniously blended together to create a welcoming atmosphere of rare beauty. This prestigious natural stage is the setting for the Valle dei Sogni (literally the Valley of Dreams): located inside a fully fenced 13 hectare property (8 hectares of which are cultivated), this splendid villa is the result of long, patient renovation work carried out on an ancient country farmhouse, part of the enormous agricultural estate that was spread around Sismano Castle, a fortress built in the Middle Ages to defend the city of Todi (which is just 10 Km away). The atmospheric outline of Sismano Castle is clearly visible as part of the 360° view of the surrounding hills that can be enjoyed from the villa and its gardens, where time appears to have stopped. The villa consists of a central main body with two symmetrical wings and an independent annex: the bright and elegant interior, which has been restored using precious materials, features numerous antique items, rich drapes and a sophisticated décor creating a relaxed, warm and intimate atmosphere. Each room has its own particular style and the bathrooms include antique tiles and marble. The loving care dedicated to every detail reveals the owners’ great taste and admirable knowledge of furnishing. Outside, there is a large, well-tended garden with park, lot of trees and flowers, a botanical garden containing aromatic herbs as well as a vegetable garden, both of which have been paved for easy access, where guests can pick the season’s produce. There are also fruit trees and, on a lower terrace that can be reached by a convenient flight of steps, there is a beautiful 7 x 14 meter swimming pool, from which it is possible to enjoy the enchanting panorama, as well as a covered living area with sofas and armchairs, a large dining table and a pavilion with fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and changing room. When the villa is rented without the annex (up to 12 people), the owners may temporarily stay in the annex (but the swimming pool and garden areas are still provided for the exclusive use of the guests).

GROUND FLOOR: large entrance hall, on the left, a large double living room with
fireplace, sofas, card table and panoramic window with a view of the castle. On
the right, there is a living room/library with fireplace, TV and computer desk,
small corridor with wardrobe and 1 large WC with marble washbasin, an elegant
room with dining table and access to the garden (area with fountain near the
annex), office leading into the large kitchen with firebox, large breakfast
table and French windows leading into the garden (area with fountain), larder
with French windows leading to an internal paved courtyard with tree in the
center that leads to the other wing of the house: dining room with large windows
that open outwards (one onto the internal courtyard and 2 onto the other part of
the garden), passage leading to 2 double bedrooms (one with independent access
to the garden), 1 bathroom with shower. With independent entrance from the
garden area with the fountain: 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom and
shower. From the entrance hall there is a convenient staircase to the FIRST
FLOOR: on the left, a corridor, 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom with
bathtub, 1 bedroom with French sized bed and en suite bathroom with shower. On
the right: a box room, a large master bedroom with 2 queen sized beds and
fireplace, walk-in closet, 1 large bathroom with 2 washbasins and bathtub and 2
niches closed by glass doors, one with a shower and one with WC and bidet.
Other services included in the price: Cleaning during the week 4 hours, 2 times per week for a total of 8 hours per week. Electricity consumption under 300 KW per week. ADSL Broadband Internet connection, 1 swimming pool towel per person per week.
