Located in the Siena region of Tuscany, La Cerbaia is an authentic and well
restored farmhouse that sits adjacent to the historic
Villa Cetinale, a 17th century Baroque style villa built in 1680 by Cardinal Flavio
Chigi for Pope Alexander VII — Fabio Chigi. The gardens at Villa Cetinale are
renowned as being one of the most beautiful in Italy and guests of La Cerbaia
are welcome to visit them by pre-arranged appointment.
In 2018,
La Cerbaia rents only on a FRIDAY to FRIDAY basis.
La Cerbaia accommodates
up to 14 guests. Its setting is peaceful and exclusive with expansive
countryside views. The house is situated at the end of a private country lane
between the “Holy Woods” and the Villa Cetinale gardens. Entirely independent
with a well maintained garden, panoramic furnished terrace and large swimming
pool (6m x 12m), La Cerbaia presents an ideal experience for a true Tuscan
holiday.
Guests can choose to explore the many well-preserved medieval
villages in the area such as Siena (14km), Monteriggioni (15km) and San
Gimignano (44km). They can also choose to relax and take pleasure in a day off
around the pool, which is furnished with umbrellas and high quality sun
loungers. A large furnished terrace (partly shaded) with scenic views provides
an additional place for relaxing, reading and taking in an aperitivo while
enjoying a sunset over the cypress trees. There is also a covered pergola
furnished for outdoor dining and a pizza oven. A cook’s services for one daily
meal (food/beverages extra) are included for 6 days (Sunday excluded).
One of the
unique features of this welcoming house is a former farm building that has been
tastefully restored into a bright open space for group gatherings. Adjacent to
the La Cerbaia farmhouse, it has a sizeable well-equipped kitchen, dining room
with table that seats 14 and airy living room with fireplace. A large arched
paneless window that opens to the outside offers terrific views of the olive
groves and makes you feel like you are out among them!
La Cerbaia has 7
bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. 295 square meters of space (approximately 3200 square feet).

entrance through the laundry.
