Villa Capodilista was built in 1568 as a hunting pavilion by the painter and architect Dario Varotari, a pupil of Paolo Veronese. The frescoes in the rooms depict scenes from mythology and the family`s history. In order to blend in with the hilly landscape, a perfectly symmetrical building was designed with a square plan. Each façade has loggias on two floors. The indoor layout of the rooms follows the same symmetrical pattern. The rooms on the ground floor and first floor are connected by four flights of stairs.
The essentially square structure of the Italian style garden is interrupted by semi-circular extensions, whilst the surrounding area contains a circular private swimming pool.
The villa is furnished with prestigious antique pieces that are accompanied by precious wall hangings and ornaments of great artistic value.
The villa has satellite TV, CD and DVD player, fast internet connection WIFI, air conditioning in some of the bedrooms and a laundry room with washing machine. Includes daily cleaning service and preparation of breakfast, lunch and supper. There are also two spacious covered garages.
Opposite the entrance gate to the villa is a farm which produces high quality wines and also has an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool and a Michelin star restaurant.
The nearest town with services is Selvazzano Dentro (approx. 1 Km), whilst the center of Padua is 9 Km away.
There are many places of cultural interest within easy reach of the villa, including Padua (9 Km), Venice (55 Km), Vicenza (40 Km), and the thermal resort of Abano (6 Km). Also worth visiting are the Palladian villas and the Brenta Boats, panoramic motorboats that travel along the Riviera on the Brenta river from Padua towards Venice and vice versa, combining art and history, following in the wake of the ancient “Burchielli” (typical Venetian boats used to transport passengers which had a large wooden cabin and three or four finely worked and decorated balconies. They were used in the 1700s by wealthy Venetians to travel to their country villas from the city).

Paid on site in cash: The security deposit of €4,000 should be paid by bank transfer two weeks before arrival and will be returned 14 days after departure; it can also be paid on site by credit card. The owner may use this deposit in the event of any damage.
Continental breakfast with wide choice of sweet and savory foods at the price of € 25 per person per day, to be paid for at the villa. Meal preparation: to be requested in advance, prices vary according to the menu and the service requested, payment to be made directly to the chef.
The cost of heating varies according to the season: October, March, April € 90 a day. November, December, January and February € 160 a day. The opening and closing of the swimming pool may be subject to variations according to the weather conditions.
Pets allowed on request and only small pets, extra cost € 50 per day plus an additional deposit of € 1.000
Bed and bath linen: 2 sets of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
