Nature figures prominently in the philosophy of the owners.  Homegrown herbs and produce are proudly used in the treatments, wellness products and local cuisine.  Guests are invited to walk through the gardens to explore the scents and colors.  There are excellent views of Assisi from here and from the large swimming pool.  The nine bedrooms and two suites, all furnished with quality furniture and fabrics, are named after plants and flowers famous for their medicinal attributes.

The overstuffed couches in the spacious lounge and library create a comfortable and homey refuge.  It is here that Gira! guests can enjoy their welcome beverage year round and in summertime there is bar service on the large wrap-around patio and by the swimming pool.

The onsite restaurant offers guests the chance to taste authentically prepared regional dishes and the impressive organic garden plays an important role in the recipes.  The restaurant  is located in a characteristic room with a typical brick ceiling and large impressive fireplace.  The chef has carefully selected menus that include am excellent variety of typical Umbrian fare.

San Crispino Spa and Resort is one of the principal destination spas in Umbria and is known for its total well-being.  It focuses on personalized massage and skin care treatments, beauty, stress management, and fitness to help its guests achieve physical and mental balance and harmony.  There is also access to a medical program.  Treatments highlighted in our customized packages include an olive oil treatment and massage, an antistress massage and a rejuvenating facial, just to name a few.  Rediscover what ancient cultures such as the Egyptians and Romans have known about olive oil for centuries.  Olive oil is the element of life!  It as an essential ally of natural beauty and has always been an integral part of Mediterranean cuisine and a source of good health.

In addition to our package choices, the complete spa menu encompasses a full range of massages, including Oriental Shiatsu, facials, body wraps and scrubs.  Beauty treatments such as manicure, pedicure and make up consultations are also available.  A personal trainer and customized fitness program are available upon request.  Some examples of unique seasonal treatments include the chocolate therapy - chocolate tasting and chocolate massage – which is in honor of Eurochocolate, for which Perugia is famous.  The body hydrating massages “Rice delight” and “Pumpkin nectar” celebrate harvest time and other special treatments using herbs from the wellness garden are proposed according to the season.  Ask us for a complete list of treatments.

It is not difficult to rent a car for your vacation in Umbria and we would be happy to help.  It is also very easy to take advantage of public transportation.  There is train service to Assisi from both Florence and Rome.  The Eurostar fast train from Rome to Assisi and from Florence to Assisi both take about 2 ½ hours.  A shuttle can be made readily available to take you from the train station to the resort.  Airport transfers can also be arranged as well as a driver for sightseeing excursions in beautiful Umbria.
