Nuvoletta was great for us, we loved it. You can hear some road sound, but after a while you learn to ignore it especially in front of the beautiful view you are facing. The location is very convenient for walking to shops and restaurants. The owner was wonderful, she was more then happy to find out I speak Italian and told me a lot of stories and gave helpful advice and directions. I think the villa itself is not for everybody, a bit old world; for us it was perfect and we had a wonderful vacation. Thank you! M.Y. 2013 I have been meaning to write to you about our stay at Nuvoletta. First of all you must know that we think very highly of your service since we keep going back to you. You take care of everything and it is done ahead of time, which is great when you are traveling. Also the photos and description of the properties are always right on, no surprises. As far as Nuvoletta itself; we highly recommend it. Absolutely beautiful place. All three bedrooms were comfortable, two with gorgeous views of Lago di Maggiore. The house itself was built in the 20's or 30's with wonderful wood treatments, stained glass, chandelier and art works as well as, of course, a lovely garden. You felt as if you were in a different time. The kitchen had everything you needed. We loved being able to sit outside for breakfast, take a few steps and feel the tranquility of the lake. There is a great restaurant nearby called Bella Vista and another right next to the railroad station of Meina (can't remember the name but you can't miss it) - had the best risotto di mare I have ever had. There is also a bakery within walking distance as well as a salumeria. Grazia, the owner, was a gracious host and a lovely person. I truly can't say enough good things about the place, its location and surroundings. Now we just have to figure out how we can go back. Thank you for listing this property! S.T. 2012 |
