We had our best experience ever !! The Podere is a beautiful place !! The house is very well located: near Arezzo, Cortona, Siena, Firenze as well as Umbria. Monte San Savino still has its authenticity that some of the Tuscan villages seem to loose because of the high influx of tourist and therefore the commercial part tends to blur the historic feel (like in places as San Gimigniano and Montepulciano), unless you go in Nov/Feb. The Podere is so beautifully designed with eye for detail. The support network with Cook, Cleaning etc is perfect and allowed me to further practice my Italian !! The Podere was so much better than the house we had near Firenze last year on all aspects: the house, the garden, the setting/scenery. And the personal connection with Joyce was very enjoyable.
