The stay at Villa Casa di Zia Amalia was fantastic. The Villa was clean and sitting on the sundeck was fantastic. The view was amazing. The hosts were terrific and instruction was perfect. Everything was close by and I cannot say enough about how perfect the whole experience was. Definitely recommend this villa and come back one day! Holly M. 06/2014 Our trip was fabulous!! The villa was exactly as advertised with one exception. The barbeque grill wasn't available because the tenants prior to us had ruined it. It was no big deal. The villa was beautiful and well appointed. Location was great. Those stairs provided a great cardio workout ! The transportation that you arranged from Naples to Positano was also great. Our driver, Umberto was really wonderful and sold us on a tour of the Amalfi Coast with him which we hadn't planned to do. He was fabulous! Very professional, personable and service oriented. I would highly recommend him and his company to other customers. Your company also was very professional and provided a great customer experience. We had a few hiccups (lost and stolen luggage) but it was truly a trip of lifetime and we have great memories. Happy to recommend you and Gira Italian Rental to others. Thank you! Lianne F. 09/2011 The property sits between 2 one way streets. There are 2 sets of stairs(down) to get to the entrance, not that many. This is the closest to the street. Andrea will carry all of the luggage if you ask him. We happened to have 2 young teen boys to help! If you continue down from the entrance there are more steps to reach the lower street. These steps are a bit steep. There are several ways to reach the main beach. You can take the main road through the town(all downhill) past shops, etc. There are some detours down sets of steps marked with signs(Spiaggia) that are a bit faster. One is through a small park. I would say it is a small hike,15-20 min. Although the return home is uphill it's not that bad. You have to climb about 40 semi-steep steps from the street to get back to your door. I, personally, loved the exercise and the boys didn't really mind. The villa is built into the cliff with Zia Amalia's terrace overlooking the terrace of the lower unit. It wasn't a problem for us and I believe we only saw people there one time. We honestly didn't spend much time at home. The villa inside is very private as you imagined. There are 2 bedrooms on one end and one towards the middle of the villa. It is very clean and minimally furnished. The views from the unit are really beautiful. I hope this helps.
