To begin with, it was a pleasure dealing with you. Your photos of the property and the description of the villa on the internet were very accurate and correspondence was prompt, clear and concise. I have recommended you to several other people, firstly for the selection of properties you have and also for your courtesy. The house and the surroundings were wonderful. The housekeeper who greeted us told us to feel free to call her at any time if we had any problems which was actually very funny since we don't speak much Italian, and she spoke no English. Anyone who is the least bit hesitant to travel in Italy should know that, especially there, sign language does work. Everyone we encountered on the property and in the area were so warm and welcoming. It was so beautiful to return to the pool in the evening after travelling during the day (so convenient and close to every important and amazing sight in Tuscany), and then have our dinner on the patio overlooking Galuzzo and listening to the Certosa Monastery bells ring every hour. Shopping in the supermarket in town and at market in the town square was so much fun and produced incredible results. It tasted so much better there than when we make it at home. The fact that you could easily park in the town (Galuzzo - a few minutes down the hill) and hop a bus into Florence (20 minutes) was great. A few days, we bussed into the city for lunch, sightseeing, an early dinner and were home in time to have an after dinner drink and a dip in the pool. As I'm sure you know, it was extremely hot in Italy while we were there. Since we had to leave all the doors and windows open at night with no A/C and no screens on the windows, our British friends, in particular, were badly bitten by mosquitos every night even with the coils and citronella candles burning all evening and night, inside and out. Next trip definitely requires, at least, bedroom A/C's. With the exception of the bites, I'm sure I speak for our British friends as well, we had a truly magnificent holiday!! Thanks so much. Sincerely yours, A.U. July 2012 |
