The house and grounds were fantastic. Roscoe was very helpful and was a fabulous cook and tour guide. All of our guests loved him. Cleaning lady, Faith, and grounds keeper Nacho, were very friendly and accommodating. The house was equipped with soap, hair dryers, toilet paper, etc. We even received fresh eggs each day from the chickens and geese on the property We truly enjoyed our pizza nights prepared by Faith and Nacho in the wood burning oven and special seating area on the grounds. The 2 mile road to get to the Villa was a bit difficult at first, but we quickly got use to it. The exercise room was not available to us during our stay but we had the swimming pool to do laps in and we could hike to town. Thank you again for all your help in making this a great retirement celebration for my husband. C.S. Sept 2018 I am happy to offer comments on our stay. The Villa itself was beautiful beyond words! Waking up each day in this idyllic setting was a dream. We loved the quiet of being situated on a hill overlooking Umbria. The grounds with all of the flowers and various seating areas to relax in were perfect after our day trips to the surrounding villages. One of my brothers and his wife found a little nook to have their coffee together every morning. The bedrooms had excellent linens and were beautifully appointed. I think Ludovica thought of everything and it truly had the comfort of being in someone's home. Loved her antiques and overstuffed furniture. The pizza night was a hit and incredible delicious and having fresh eggs everyday was unexpected! We sat outside for all our meals and the weather was picture perfect. We enjoyed having the wine cellar for relaxing dinners and evenings. It had great selections in all price points. Roscoe was a wonderful host, knew everything about the Umbria region and towns and his meals were amazing. Faith kept our Villa sparkling and she was delightful as was Naccho the Villa grounds keeper. Our stay was 5+ stars and I could continue on and on...... It was simply perfect for our family of 12. You and Susan were a pleasure to work with and thank you for all you did to make our stay memorable. Best regards, K.C. July 2018 Everything you've ever dreamed....if you've dreamed of living in an authentic Italian Villa on the countryside. I can't say enough about this property. One thing that stands out to me is that we were a group of 10 -( 5 couples together for 9 days total.) We all had enough privacy and space to feel as if we were on our own. Private living space EVERYWHERE. Each bedroom is a master suite. Ours had an entrance to the outdoors. We loved EVERY MOMENT. Beds were comfortable; water was hot; our drivers were gentleman, our tour guide, Roscoe, was THE BEST. He only brought us to the most authentic (non touristy) coffee bars, restaurants, and gelateria's. He even drove us down the best streets with the least traffic and the best views. He brought us to the best, most authentic vineyards and had private tastings complete with appetizers all set up for us. He has "connections" everywhere so don't eat or buy anything without Roscoe's advice! We felt safe wherever we went; even in this current, crazy world. I have NOTHING negative to say. A.A. Sept 2016 My family and I returned Saturday and the villa was all you said it was times 1,000%. The villa was clean, the beds and linens were perfect, the housekeeper cleaned and ironed our clothes as needed and we had fresh eggs every morning form our own chicken coop. We had great weather, great food and great transportation and Roscoe took care of all us like we were family……………… he and is his mother were perfect hosts. I have attached a picture of our four daughters and their husbands (and my wife and in the middle) leaving the villa on our last day As you know I was very nervous going to a strange place sight unseen and I wanted this experience to be perfect for my kids and it was that and more.
