Bella Perugia is an attractive country stone house set on a hilltop
overlooking the ancient city of Perugia. The house is completely
independent and enclosed. The views from
the house are lovely, and the countryside offers many opportunities for
walks or biking excursions. The villa has been thoughtfully
restored and furnished to provide a welcoming and relaxing
atmosphere.
The owners have personally selected several rustic
and antique pieces of furniture. There are terraces for relaxing and enjoying the views. One is furnished with a table and chairs for 8 guests. The swimming pool (8m x 4m) also has lounging furniture and there is private parking on the grounds.
Bella Perugia is located just 5 kilometers from the ancient sections of
the city of Perugia. A visit to Perugia, with its Etruscan origins, is a must. The Piazza IV Novembre is the heart of the city and any visit must include a stroll along the Corso Vannucci. Assisi, Lake Trasimeno, Cortona and Siena are also great daytrips. Gubbio, an hour’s drive away, is the quintessential medieval town with its welcoming Palazzo dei Consoli, Piazza Grande, and Palazzo dei Podesta.
There is a convenient bus stop about 1 kilometer from the house. The closest village is Montelaguardia and it has a restaurant, food shop and cafe/bar. It is about 1.5 km away and hardy walkers can go by foot in about 1/2 hour.
Perugia’s train station services
many interesting cities in the region, and guests can reach either Rome
or Florence by train in about 2 hours.
Bella Perugia can be rented at a reduced price in mid and low season, according to the
number of guests. If there are 5-8 guests, the entire house (250
square meters) will be rented. If there are 4 or fewer guests, only the
ground floor and first floor will be open (180 square meters) and the
top floor will be closed.
The ground floor consists of an entrance with access to an equipped
external space. A sitting room with fireplace and television is
two steps above the entrance level. Following another four steps,
guests will find the living room with fireplace, a well-equipped
kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, American coffee maker, toaster)
and a bathroom with a shower. There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities
located on the lower level.
The first floor is accessed by an internal staircase of 15
steps. On this floor there is one queen bedroom with an en suite
bathroom with bathtub. There is also a bedroom with a double bed
and an en suite bathroom with shower. Groups of four or less
guests will use only the ground and first floor, which together
comprise 180 sq. meters.
The top floor is accessed from an internal staircase of 5 steps.
The top floor is made up of two twin bedded rooms and a bathroom with a
shower.
Laundry facilities (washing machine and iron) are available for guests as well as a baby bed and high chair. Cleaning of the bathrooms and kitchen is included on Saturday for stays of two weeks or longer. Bella Perugia has a free WIFI internet connection.
