Just uphill from the town of Moltrasio on Lake Como is the hamlet of Tosnacco,

nearby. Villa Maraia is a quaint village house in the hamlet, and it has
recently been renovated to an excellent standard. The owner has combined both
antique and modern furnishings to create a cozy and stylish accommodation in a
scenic and tranquil position above the lake.

eaten. The popular lake destinations of Cernobbio and Como are easily
reached by car, by bus, or by ferry boat.
The location is less than one
hour from Milan and only twenty minutes from Lugano, Switzerland.
Moltrasio has a little 'Lido' or sandy beach (for which there is a small fee), a
variety of shops, a bank, and post office and a church. There are also
footpaths in the area, which will take you to Cernobbio or Laglio.
Villa
Maraia has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a guest bathroom on the main floor. The house spans three levels, comprising a total of 180 square meters. The interior
design offers a tasteful and modern interpretation of the house's original
charm. It provides a welcoming environment for a group of up to six, or it
could be a romantic getaway for two.
There is a convenient terrace providing
a perfect spot to relax or dine while enjoying views of the lake.
Main level
Villa Maraia is arranged to have an open
plan which includes the living, dining and kitchen areas. There is a full
entertainment system in the luxury living room, which includes flat screen
satellite TV, DVD player and fireplace. The house also offers a WiFi
Internet connection.
The fully equipped kitchen features a six-burner
stove, oven, toaster, coffee machine, large refrigerator, dishwasher and
microwave. On the terrace there is also a barbecue grill for al fresco
dining with mountain and lake views.
The main level also has a small WC
bathroom.
Upstairs
On the upper level, there is
one queen bedded room with a scenic terrace and one twin bedded room. There is a bathroom
with shower, and a third room has a sofa bed where one guest may sleep
separately.
Lower level
Downstairs there is a
queen bedded room with bathroom with bathtub. There is also a laundry room
with washing machine and shower.
Access
It is
important to understand that Villa Maraia does not have direct car access.
To reach the house, you will leave your car in the garage and walk up through
the stone street, a distance of about 150 meters. The path can be slippery
when wet, so this property is not suitable for guests with walking
difficulties.
