All in all this was a wonderful place to call home away from home. We had friends stay with us a few days and they were as enchanted as we were. The house is large enough so that no one gets in the other’s way. The ride into Sossano takes about five minutes. The countryside is dotted with charming ancient towns each with its own history and character. Vicenza, Padua and Verona are almost equidistant from Sossano and so easily accessible. The Rigonis allowed us complete privacy. We spoke by phone a time or two just to be sure all was going well. In the past they have had guests that abused the property which has made them understandably a little cool at first. Once their trust has been won, however, they couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful.
